Item Specifics: Two Vintage Wooden Lawn Bowling Balls Slazenger Official 1954 Game Bowls Ball Bocce Boules Commonwealth Games England.
Two Slazenger of England wooden lawn bowling balls.
Originally made and marked for the 1946 British Empire and Commonwealth Games but these games were canceled because of WWII and have been re-marked for the 1954 games that were held in Vancouver, BC.
Both marked by Slazenger with their "Official, 1954" stamp but also marked with the 1946 official stamp. Both are also marked "Slazenger" faintly on the tops (see 6th photo).
They're nice with no chips. They've been used, probably at the Commonwealth Games, and show some light scattered scuffing here and there.
