Vintage Handmade Tiger Rug Wall Hanging with Stylized Foreshortened Perspective
Item Description
Truly unique handmade tiger skin rug made to look like it plays with the viewer's sense of space and perspective. The composition has been skillfully foreshortened, giving the viewer the experience of being very up close with the tiger’s head. I photographed this rug from overhead on asphalt so the texture and cracks can give you an accurate sense of dimensionality. There are many Tibetan style handmade rugs to portray Bengal tigers but with extensive research, I never saw another rug that plays with perspective like this. Lovingly backed and whipstitched around edges, can be easily modified to be hung on wall. Measures 61in paw to paw x 36in mouth to tail. Excellent vintage condition. MVB Collection
